My friend has an Asus 280X which has a very nosy fan and recently has started to stop and start, he doesn't want to RMA it as it could take upto 30days so i said well you could always go down the route of replacing it. What do you think would be the best route?

Kraken G10 and some kind of AIO or Arcitc Accelero, cheaper the better.

Has he looked on ebay? sometimes people just sell their air coolers when they put their cards under water.

Although if he continues to use the card with the fan turning off he'll end up having to RMA the card anyway!

I do not think he has so i will have a look around on there also, yeah i have explained to him the end game will probably end up being RMA but some people are just stubborn.
