Title says it all really.

From Glasgow to Edinburgh I'm stopping off at Dumgoyne to see the Glengoyne distillery. We'll also be going via the Forth Bridge. Other than that though there's no other stops. Edinburgh to Newcastle, I assume the Hadrian's Wall will be along the way? Where's best to stop for that?

We won't have huge amounts of time. Hungover as **** we won't be leaving until midday-ish and we'll want to be in our destination by dinner time.

I'd love to go up to the Cairngorns again but I'm with the wrong group of friends for that lol.

Anything of note we can go and see?

A whole lot of speed cameras on the A1?

If you're leaving Glasgow at midday and going to the distillery it's gonna be a long day as that's in the wrong direction!

Why would you go via Forth Road Bridge when travelling between Glasgow and Edinburgh??

Even travelling from Glengoyne to Edinburgh you wouldn't go via FRB unless you want a large detour.

And the Cairngorms are a good three hours north of Edinburgh so it's just as well you're going to see them again! That would be quite a detour. Check out the Kelpies at Falkirk. They're quite impressive.

Wait. You want to leave Glasgow at 12, and be in Newcastle by 5 and go via the Forth Road Bridge (which is quite out the way) and visit Dumgoyne (which is massively out the way).

Best of luck. The journey on google maps is nearly 5 hours. That doesn't include traffic etc. Never mind getting out the car. I say save it all for a separate trip and just drive straight home, stay in Glasgow for some nice lunch.

That's what I just looked at, FRB has major road works too so depending what day you're going there it could be heavy with slow straffic.
