Anyone with an Aeron or similar chair?

I also had a steelcase leap which is a very nice chair considering how much you can find them for on ebay but the HM is still better.

I bought a second hand Aeron for £250 after being impressed with the one I sit on at work.

They are excellent for long periods. Don't get too excited however - it's a chair afterall lol.

One word of caution if buying second hand - expect the arms to be knackered (common problem apparently). Mine also has the foam coming away from the seat lip. If buying second hand again I'd factor in the cost of a refurb from somewhere like http://simplyaeron.co.uk/.

My Herman Miller is Is almost 18 years old now, used daily and is still the most comfortable chair I've ever owned.
Good for 14 hour stints on the trot, never had a hint of back pain or numb bum sat in it :)

bought an Aeron used on ebay about 10 years ago for £380.

Still have it, best investment I ever made.

I've seen a second hand Aeron for £365 from a reputable seller that will deliver.

Is this a decent price for second hand?

Yeah we have them all over the office, I tried a Humanscale Diffrient though and was immediately converted. I liked it so much bought one for home as well, cheaper too so bonus!

I find that the aeron cuts the blood circulation in my legs because of that plastic edge.

As mentioned above steelcase leap is a great chair - I've tried both the V1 and V2 and they're both great.

Lots of opinions on this thread now on what is the best chair and it's been difficult making a decision.

I've decided to purchase a 2nd had Aeron as I've tried it among a few other chairs and it felt the best to me. I've not tried some of the other chairs mentioned, which I'm sure are also very good chairs, so it may be a risk in buying those.

We have Aeron and Mirra chairs in the office, and I've never been uncomfortable on one even after 10 straight hours sat in them. In fact, I've just swiped a nice new Mirra 2 (which is much more comfortable than the original Mirra) as I prefer the lumbar support on them to that on the Aeron.

From I've seen about Aeron the back does not tilt backwards relative to the seat, unless things have changed since I looked. I have a Steelcase Leap which does. I had to get rid of my last chair because the back didn't tilt relative to the seat base, it was crippling.

I use an Aeron at work and like it, although the back is too short for me really, much like the Steelcase Leap.

My favorite chair that I'd love to get (although doubt it's possible now I am in the USA) is the RH Logic 400 XL Elite. That is *by far* the best chair that I have ever sat in, surpassing even the best from Herman Miller and Steelcase. A former housemate got one of these chairs for free when he went to university due to a permanent leg issue that he has, which made him classify as a disabled student. My other housemates and I used to sit in it at every opportunity!

Received the chair today.

The mesh seems quite hard and stiff - is it meant to be like this? (I've bought it second hand)

Our entire HQ has these all over the place. They're stunning.

The mesh is quite solid on those ones too :)

The mesh is what puts me off the Aeron, I much prefer the look of the chair jon86 posted. Would like to try one of those.

The rh Logic 400 is absolutely glorious. I'd probably buy one in a heartbeat if they were available in the USA.
