'Amazing' games that disappointed you

Dark souls and bloodborne, mainly bloodborne it's art etc is great and it might be partly due to them being overly hard but I ended up binning em both off after a few hours. Gta 4 I also hated, handling of cars beyond crap even for arcade, fallout4 was not a scratch on 3 imo and the base building just no

Maybe I'm weird but I'm absolutely loving no man's sky - played about 60hrs plus.

Most disappointing game for me was Bloodborne I have completed all the Souls series games including this one but just didn't like the dark dingy level design of bloodborne.

Battlefield 1

Weapons and classes have no character or feel.
Same old spawn kill someone die spawn kill someone die spawn die spawn die spammy boring shallow gameplay.

Anothr Bloodborne hater here. Coming from playing Darksouls and loving it, I could never gel with BB.

It might have been the timing of it's release which left me with little time to play and learn the encounters.

i've never been inclined to go back to it.

Bloodborne and The Last of Us.
I bought both when I had my PS4, but neither held my interest. I've been spoiled by open-world games!

All the Fallout games, all the Elder Scroll games, they just bore me to tears. Honestly don't know how people put so many hours into them.

Another vote here for skyrim, I brought into the hype and got it on my PC ages ago. But I just never fully got into it, and never went back to it. Probably due to it taking ages to get anywhere.
However having said that, I am debating giving it another shot on the PS4 when the HD one come out. Because i LOVE the idea of open world and dragons, and I really want to like it.

Fallout is a similar story for me, I had fallout 3, never got on with it and really disliked it. However, again gave it another shot with Fallout 4, and I did actually get on with it a lot more and quite enjoyed it, however I never found myself going to play it or being drawn to play it.

Ill also throw another game into the fray, The latest Star Wars Battlefront.
Now, despite the gameplay and graphics being amazing, 10 mins into it, you've seen everything the game has to offer and your left feeling "is that it?" However, its a game I could probably pick up now and again when I have a spare 30mins or whatever to play and I need a game thats quick to play (FIFA used to fill this gap for me)

On the complete flip side of this whole post. A Game i picked up assuming that I would not get on with and hate, when in actual fact the opposite happened and I fell inlove with was, Dark Souls. Didnt even pay for it either as I got it with games for gold, I only tried as i was tempted by Dark Souls 3. I have 30 odd hours notched up on it so far, I haven't played for a while though as had other new games to play. Once I finish the first souls, ill be picking up the third one, Will probably be like a fiver by that point as it will take me ages to find time to finish it :D

OP, you should turn the post into a Poll!

Once you've played for a while and discovered loads(you will) areas, you can fast travel from anywhere.

Combat is unforgivable in my opinion, very clumsy(3rd person greatsword) will be interested to see if any mechanics have been tweaked with the HD release, but with Bethsheda's record, I doubt it.

Agreed. The combat in Skyrim is plain awful. Other games have done it much better in both 1st and 3rd person. No chance it's getting fixed with the remake - here's hoping it's sorted in the next. It's a shame as much of the rest is brilliant.
