A new Daytona is on its way

Yep, big arcade fanboy here and looks disappointing. Weird physics where you can ram into a wall and bounce of it still. Same music, same track(s)?

Must try harder Sega come on.

Kids play these games as well as adults. Arcades are all about fun not physics. Kids haven't changed as far as these types of games go, so why not release a big bright noisy up to date Daytona? I suspect the game will look a helluva lot better if you're actually there playing it.

Why not indeed. It's just not up to date though from the looks of it. Maybe the arcade cab is better, who knows. Just looks like the return to the arcade isn't what I expected. There should have been a huge obvious looking leap I feel, it just isn't there.

The cab should be awesome, will give it a go asap. Haven't ventured into an arcade for a while, I have a Neo Geo original British cab, and a MAME cab I built. Love arcade games still, always will.

I'm just pleased Sega are keeping Arcades up to date, and more importantly, relevant.

I have to ask, where are they going to go? There are no arcades anymore, unless you count heart of gaming and arcade club. I'm guessing only a handful will come to the UK. Maybe bowling alleys or something?
