Family Car - 2 kids

Have a look at the Kia Sorento huge boot, lots of space, and looking at it its only its only a little bit bigger than the Q5

My mate got one of these as his new company car when his little girl was born and loves it, bags and bags of room and apparently very comfy to drive and that's from a guy doing up to 4k miles a month.

He tried the Disco sport and a couple of others that escape me and said the Kia was the best for actual usable space rather than just being big on the outside.

I have one myself hence my suggestion :) I have the KX3 so has the slightly better seat and sound system, but I can not really fault it so far, been to cornwall and easily carted 6 adults and a kid about in it with no issues.

The middle row of seats slide and recline which is nice.

Was reading about the new Skoda Kodiaq having rear seats that can move back and forward, maybe if all the way back they would give enough room?

This is from today, op needs to try harder :p

I suppose all of the smaller 4x4 types will have similar amounts of leg room in the rear seats.

i really want a boot that i dont have to play tetris every time i pack it. just want to be able to throw everything in, not worrying about space.

thanks
Try to avoid supposing anything. Go and try the others in the same class as the Q5, and the Q7. Go and see if a full size SUV is too big or not in the flesh rather than trying to picture it. Then decide which is more hassle, a car that might be too big externally or a car that's too small internally.

I know you were joking, but I sympathise with the OP. When mine were little, I wanted something where I could open appropriate doors and throw luggage/children in and it would all be fine. Might aswell make life easy for yourself if you can.

The cr-v comment wasn't a bad option tbh

My old boy had a 55 plate 2.2 diesel one and we had 2 adults (Inc 1 v pregnant), our 2 year old in car seat in the back and my dad and I are both 6ft4 and BIG comfortably in the front. boot swallowed 2 big suitcases baby gates, bed guards, buggy, outdoor walking gear, bedding and full food shop when we did a family holiday to iow for a week

Engine pulled brilliantly still loaded up too

Q7. It has so many tech tricks that managing it around streets will be fine, and the latest one is absolutely superb inside.

With the third row of seats down it has more than 700L of boot space, beating all estates that I'm aware of.
