Curry conundrum, curry for a wimp.

Our local does something called Chicken Moni Puri, which is pretty good. No idea what's in it, though.
Most places seem to at least state which ones are hot, medium or mild, though...

Just remember that you can always ask the waiter if they can cook yours extra mild. Even if you went for a biryani or rogan josh then I'm sure you'll be fine so long as your let them know you want it mild.

go for something like a murgh badami if it's on the menu. Very mild and usually the meat of your choice cooked in yoghurt and cream! :D

How about patia? That's like an Indian sweet and sour. Not spicy at all.

I have had some really hot Pathia's in the past, so that's probably not a safe gamble. For mild curries I would always recommend Korma (creamy and coconut) or Pasanda (nutty and fruity) of the two Pasnda is my favourite if I dont' want something hot. Otherwise tandoori chicken is usually mild if you don't want loads of sauce.

where are you getting your curries from, it should be hot. Its a beautiful curry, but not one for someone who even thinks Chinese chip shop curry sauce is to hot.

A traditional Parsee patia is made with fish cooked in a dark vinegar sauce. The restaurant patia is hot, sweet and sour in equal measure. The restaurant patia grew popular as a starter using prawns as the main ingredient. Many restaurants now offer the patia as a main course as well and give you the choice of a prawn, chicken or lamb version. It is usually garnished with fried tomato pieces.

Just be straight with the person serving, say that you don't like them hot. Chicken tikka korma, with sagaloo and a pilau rice.

Will be packed with flavours and not hot :)

Pathia is usually spicey and sweet, that's what I go for. I'd avoid it if you agent a fan of heat.
