I watched this video this morning. I know lots of people do eating challenges e.g eating 20 Big Macs in the quickest time etc. But this is a different level, it's a prolonged attack on your body with 2 weeks worth of food (and the most outlandish junk food at that) in two days.

Can anyone with more knowledge than me about this explain how the body copes with this?

I mean just the amount of sugar, salt/sodium, fat. Then the amount of liquids he is consuming?

He doesn't even seem to be that awfully affected by it, he just ploughs on through during the day. What other consequences can this have?

If it's a one off then I doubt there are any real consequences apart from gaining a bit of weight. It's not that difficult a challenge really.

/edit - I misread it as 50k in 5 days, not 50 hours. My comment still stands, it's a bit harder but still I doubt there are massive consequences.

Matt Stonie, 20,000 calories in a little over 1 hour.

Although he is a pro competitive eater.

I suspect when you eat that much in such a short amount of time most of it just goes straight through you. The body wont be able to break down and use it all

Most of those calories are from fat, and eating a large amount of fat in a short time just results in most of it passing through your digestive tract rather than being absorbed. A good sign of this is if your poo floats.

I'd be surprised if half of those calories were actually absorbed.

How can you fit that much in the stomach :|
you stretch it by training, usually with low calorie food, cabbage, watermelon and water are common.

its essentially beardmettsfoods full time job, there's very few challenges he's failed.

and then unless they want to get fat they do a lot of gym work to burn it off.
if you watch randy santel he does a tour(sometimes even two challenges a day) and you can see him stacking on the weight, then when he's not touring he gets down the gym and leans out.

Watch his other videos. He takes his eating and health very seriously i.e. works out, gets regular bloods done, undereats before and after the crazy challanges etc

From what I understand quite of lot of it will go partially undigested and pass through a little more... "complete" than usual.

Furious Pete talked about this once, apparently he could see bread crust.
