I don't think there's been any coverage on X399 boards since Computex, where most of the big manufacturers had early revisions of some of their X399 boards on display. Either way a new water block or cooler will be needed... the TR4 socket is huge.
HAHAHAHA... That first pic of the Asrock board was on some documentation I have from AMD... Its just the X299 Tachi with a superimposed TR4 socket added... It still even says Intel in the logo on the IO Port Shroud.. It also has a U.2 Connector and another suspect thing is that the X299 Tachi has a right angled USB3.0 header and that mockup of the board doesn't. I cant see them going backwards with things like these.
I am between Gaming 7 and the Carbon. For no other reason, the Zenith has that £180 pricetag that cannot justify regardless. Rather buy another 32GB ram.
Carbon plus is the 10 IR3555 for the Vcor which are also driven by a IR35201 so it's just 5 real phases doubled up to 10 in total but is better power delivery than 8 IR3555s Zenith & Gaming 7 have. Also has a great heatsink above the 10 VRMs. Minus, not much RGB compared to Gaming 7, and the wifi comes in plug-in card (no clean look)
