It's happened again Mr Prusa brings another 3D Printer to the market with unbelievable features, Is it going to tempt anyone?

http://www.prusaprinters.org/original-prusa-i3-mk3-bloody-smart/

I'm not sure I will go for one and I'm more into modding the printers I have, but it is a lovely looking setup.

Well most home built printers have most of those new features now. So there is nothing there making me want to spend £800+
I looked in to a Bondtech extruder. But they are limited compared with a Titan.

I'm hoping that E3D come out with something awesome next year.

Really?

Care to share some links to the hardware used? Might apply some upgrades to my machines.

I think you are having me on :D
The XYZ I gave away, had Filament Detection Sensors :) you can buy them on ebay about £4
SilentStepStick TMC2130 Stepper Motor Driver http://www.watterott.com/en/SilentStepStick-TMC2130 or ebay

As for the steel heated bed. I tried it with my glass top with very good magnets to hold a thin plate on. Didn't work out the way I wanted.
E3D has a bed that you can heat a part of it.
I settled some Borosilicate Glass from E3D and a 600W 220V 200X300mm Silicone Heater Pad. It has a mains power supply.

I can get to 70c in 65 seconds using that :)

I'm hoping that E3D will have a dual drive extruder out at some point.

A good read :)

On a normal D-Bot with TMC2100 drivers

Out of interest what does the mk3 add that the mk2s doesn't have for the extra 150 quid?

Most (to a newbie) seem like failsafe features

If I were getting a Prusa I would pay the extra £150. It's got features that you want, skipped step recovery, filament run out and power loss to name a few.

There is also the raspberry pi header on the new control board allow a neat way to add octoprint. They have also strengthened the Y axis frame and then of course that PEI coated flexible magnetic bed .

How did you get on with this? Tom Sanladerer just did a video on adding TCM2130's to RAMPS, so I've ordered some to have a play with.

I didn't get round to trying the TCM2130. But the TMC2100 are plug and play so I stayed with them. You can hardly hear the printer now :)
You can do more with the TCM2130 if you want to mess around with the firmware...

Recently picked up the Monoprice m200 as at one point it was half-price in the Black Friday sales - having so much fun and games getting bed adhesion - got it mostly dialled in now atleast for test prints, though still needs a little finenessing of one corner height of the plate for any more serious prints (I'm planning on doing project enclosure faceplates for some hobby stuff I do that I'm getting bored of drilling).

All the end user suggestions for settings with the choice of printer and filament were way way out for what I needed to get adhesion but fortunately found a guide online by someone which was spot on.

My prusa mk3 should arrive in late jan. Can't wait

Nice one :)

I've been looking at the FORMBOT T-Rex 2+3 with a laser. I know it's a clone of the gMax 3d printer
but it is pulling me back in to building another one. But I'm finding it hard to find a BOM for it :(

So anyone can get all the STL files for the gMax but no one has done a BOM.
