A Day in the Diary of a BMW Driver

I think it's funny they dont extend the same courtesy to audi's, despite it being pretty much a 50/50 split of pillocks between the 2 brands these days

It's probably because specialist insurers tend to get the older and modified part of the market and old BMWs are easier to crash than old Audis.

Guess that makes sense, although if by the state of the modded a4's round here is anything to go by i'm not so sure, most of them dont seem to have any suspension

First off, I couldn't believe that the volume of traffic DIDN'T slow down for me AT ALL as I came off the slip road!
BS called - Genuine BMWer wouldn't want/need traffic to slow any further - It's already going too slow and should be doing [ahem]mph, or be getting out the ******* way!!!!!

The fact you still think speeding is a £60 fine is cute...
Or indicative that he's not stupid enough to get caught... :)

Yea but Audis aren't rear wheel drive and provide miles of safe understeer. Where as BMWs are generally RWD, which is something that should be reserved for more experience drivers :p

"The other day I was cruising along as usual coming onto one of my motorways, which was very busy with inferior cars. First off, I couldn't believe that the volume of traffic DIDN'T slow down for me AT ALL as I came off the slip road! I had to squeeze into a barely big enough gap between two cars in order to get onto my motorway! The driver of the car behind me did realise his mistake though and honked an apology to me with a long blast of his horn. "

To be fair, If you are in L1 and approaching an on-slip and you have not left enough space between yourself and the car in front to allow joining traffic to merge safely then you are driving too close and deserve a ticket...

This confused me as well, why would there be other BMWs in the slow lane?
