Anyone game at 4K with a 1080?

+1^

A 1080 will struggle especially with new games unless you don't mind playing with medium settings or a lower refresh rate.

A Ti is still the card to have and worth it for 4k gaming and it's 30-40% higher perf proves that.

1080p looks garbage on a 4k monitor. I've recently moved to a 4k TV and don't regret the change one bit. As many others have said due to their upscaling capabilities it still looks good at 1080p (capable of 120hz). Although I play native 4k 90% of the time.

Slightly off topic are you saying your LG oled will do native 1080p 120hz? Also at 2k or 1440p can it do 120hz?

I think my next screen will be oled lg

It will do native 1080p 120hz yes but only at this resolution. 60hz everywhere else.

Very useful for the odd FPS game which I play with the mouse as it still looks good.

Although I can't see why I can't (if you have an nvidia gpu) use DSR to upscale the resolution for in game although I haven't tried it. I need to test really.

i have a 1080ti and rather run my games @ 1440p ultra 75hz, rather than 4k 60hz at lower image quality
1440p @ 75hz = 276Mpix/min
4k @ 60hz = 497Mpix/min
a large difference that even the 1080ti can't make up

Yeah there is a couple of games like overwatch that I would rather 120hz 1080p and the rest 4k

I use up scaling on most games at 1080p normally to around 120% using the in game menu rather than nvidias. I find 120% is enough to take away most of the bad edges that 1080p gives you.
