Led strip glue + heat = unsticking

How does everyone overcome this? Whether it's case lighting or behind your monitor, it always seems like the the led strips I've bought eventually succumb to gravity after the warmth weakens the adhesive. Once that happens it's game over as dust gets into the adhesive.

How do I deal with this without resorting to superglue?

i used a glue gun on mine just blobs over the top every few inches but i only have them on the back of my desk

I've got a few trips and I use GORILLA GLUE 3044101 1.5 m Heavy Duty Double Sided Mounting Tape - Clear

I just cut a few small bits off and it's been solid on my strips.

That mounting tape sounds good. Have you tried it anywhere that gets warm like in your case?

buy the magnetic led strips if its for case lighting as they never fall off.

I Didn't realise that was a thing. I'll definitely check that out as I was after something non permanent and that sounds ideal

yeah i got the bitfenix alchemy 2.0 strips ages ago they are excellent.

Kapton tape can also work - it's a thin-film polymer.

It's heat stable & won't leave residue.
