What film did you watch last night?

You Were Never Really Here - 7/10.

I really enjoyed this, but was a tiny bit letdown after all the hype about it and the reviews I read. Also, it wasn’t half as violent or brutal as I was expecting. Joaquin Phoenix is a beast though and very nice cinematography.

Teen Titans Go! the movies.

Went with the kids on a "mini morning" as its peanuts to get in and it was absolutely brilliant. Some good marvel and deadpool jokes with good cameos. So so good, i would recommend anyone to watch it, some really clever jokes for old folk like us.

Do you watch the TV show?

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom

The story is terribly bad it's almost a comedy!

The ending is just huge face palm.

Easily the worst of the bunch.

3/10

Yup, I thought this was pretty terrible too. It had some entertainment value if you tried not to think too hard, but the story was ridiculous and Bryce Dallas Howard absolutely awful.

They need to stop cranking these out now.

I thought this was a great film :) One of the best I've seen this year I think. Joaquin phoenix was excellent and the film had a really great atmosphere and mystery about it. Violent, but not gratuitously so.

I'd give it at least 7.5, maybe even an 8.

I felt like the implied violence had more of an impact than actually seeing it, for me it was a case of less is more.

He was genuinely scary in the role as well.

Aye, genuinely threatening. He had that naturally muscly look as apposed to a manufactured one. Looked as though if he hit you, he'd kill you.

I genuinely think he's one of the best actors living at the moment, so hugely underrated! I'd say the same for Lynne Ramsay actually. Very few Directors working today have the sense of nuanced grace and artistry that she shows in every one of her films.

Went to the cinema with the Mrs today, she was a sobbing mess at the end (as it seems were nearly all the women in our showing) but the film was actually good and both Gaga and Cooper put in great performances, thoroughly enjoyed it and would agree with an 8 out of 10.
To be honest I was a bit of a mess by the end as well. The wife wasn't lmao.

Fair enough, I just felt the story let it down a little. There wasn’t all that much to it, and felt there could have been something ‘more’ to push it to the next level somehow.

Aye as good as Phoenix is in it, I felt the ending was a let down and just a tad creepy.

Venom - 5/10 and that's being generous. Boring start, general mess of a film with some entertaining bits.

Leave no Trace - 7.5/10 Excellent but understated story of a father with troubles who tries to live off the grid with his young daughter.
