Hello All,

My brother is looking to finally move away from using my old laptop and get himself a tower.

He only needs the tower, has a monitor etc already and will be gaming in 4K. Will be playing all latest games BF5 etcetc.

How does this spec below look / what would you recommend?

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £2,062.92 (includes shipping: £0.00)

@SoGi

Little bit more, better board ( https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/posts/32247429/ )
, 9900k 8 core 12 threads, better 2080 due to cooler and longer warranty 3 (uk)+2 vs 2 years

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £2,173.93 (includes shipping: £14.10)

and for £25 over, ryzen 1700x 8 core with Aorus 2080ti !
this is the true 4k card and shouldnt drop below 60fps :D
also comes with 4 year warranty on the card

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £2,225.84 (includes shipping: £14.10)

***

not pretty but 9700k + 2080ti (9700k does just beat out 8700k due to speed and 8 cores vs 6- even with hyperthreading for gaming)

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £2,216.44 (includes shipping: £12.60)

only problem unfortunately, Think they are meant to recieve stock next week but dont think you'll be covered for first batch- others still waiting on MSI trio for even longer period.
Also believe thats the reason why its on sale at the moment, soon as it lands up stock price will shoot up
nice that it has the 4 year uk warranty vs the 3uk +2 hk for the Zotac unless they have changed it.

as a heads up, that Zotac card is based on Reference design so might as well get a cheaper reference pcb one

downside is 2 years warranty

or 3 years, just slightly more then Aorus but lot cheaper the Zotac

push the S2, newer version with USB 3.1 at the front

Thanks, I think he'll probably still go with the Zotac due to the warranty as he wont be changing this PC for a long time so any extra warranty is a huge bonus.
Regarding the PSU in the spec will this be OK? I'm assuming yes as it was in one of your previous specs. I see that the 2080 Ti actually uses a lot less power than i thought it would have.

just double check the last two arent still in Honk kong haha, it use to be OCUK handled the first 2 years then after that last 3 was Honk Kong - why I always recommend getting zotac from OCUK in the past over other companies.

i think they now have a center in the UK but they still arent clear if they handle full 5 year warranty here

5. Claims

Claims on the warranty during the primary warranty period (primary warranty period varies by region) must be processed through the seller of the product, who will forward the defective product to ZOTAC for warranty services. Warranty claims during the extended warranty period must be filed directly with ZOTAC. Extended warranty claims must be emailed to ZOTAC at [email protected] and please provide the following information

just dont forget not to sign up! unlike gigabyte its automatic - outside of your time you cant get the extra 2 years . EVGA are more forgiving in this matter as someone can look into the case :)
