£50k - what sports car?

I was just checking to see if the Porsche Boxster 981 Spyder was in budget, it seems a bit over (some a lot more) than what I thought.

Such a beautiful car in my opinion though.

Not what I'd want to leave parked on the streets of London! The car is gorgeous and the whole package is amazing, but the dodgy canvas roof would put me right off unless I had a garage.

EDIT - did the roof design change for the 981? The 987 certainly had large holes in the roof!

At least the vantage and R8 have canvas roofs which completely enclose the cabin! Can’t dispute the fantastic nature of the car though!

987 and 981 Spyders both have normal, fully enclosed soft tops. They are just manually operated, no electric motors at all.

I’d be looking at a 981 GTS or a Vantage. If you’re in South London I’m happy for you to have a nose around my Vantage if that’s easier.

i3 for actual use in the city.
Annual subscription to a good car club, such that on the weekends you venture out in the countryside, take a different car each time.

A GTR by a country mile but I suppose I’m a bit biased having one.

I’d say less in your face than the others whilst being admired by true car lovers.

Incredible value for money too despite being quite costly to maintain
