Again it is absolutely fantastic to see AMD really crushing the competition with such aggressive pricing on what are incredibly fast cards for those gaming at 1080P and 1440P, plus of course with the advantage of FREESYNC.

Why is there such a big difference between the 580's in price only difference in spec I can see is an extra 30mhz overclock (wow!) ?
£169 for a 580 is a steal !

Because Powercolor, AMD and OcUK has put money into this 580 to create shall we say a big bang, our landed cost is about £140, so were making £1, but we have funds piled into this card to reduce our cost further to make a very special deal because of course if we only made £1 profit we'd actually be making quite a loss as the merchant fee is typically around 1%, then logistics, overheads and forum members have free shipping we'd be at losses, but we've put around $20,000 into this stock to make the deal happen and done so on a large volume so that it does not sell out instantly. :)

Like I say this card is £200 plus pretty much at all all competitors, some are even asking £300, OcUK smashing it up. :)

Hope Sterling gained some ground against dollar when you purchased :)

Nope its weaker now, but we have additional funding piled it to make this price at this time of year our customers are looking more for the mainstream type of products so its better to do a deal for a product that can benefit the masses and for 1080P gaming these are more than enough and at £169.99 with two free AAA game titles makes it a totally bonkers deal.

Before anyway says take out the games and sell it even cheaper, not possible as the games cost us nothing, we get those for free. :)

Shame about it being weaker, but should help sway those a little on the back fence for a nice core upgrade ;)
Freesync screens should fly off the shelf with this, means extra £30 can push from 75hz monitor to 144...

Keep forgetting to apply for your ecom brand job listing

How do these cards compare to a 1060 6GB? Looking for a temporary card before I overhaul my entire system as my 780 died.

RX 580 and 1060 trade blows, 580 wins some games, 1060 wins others but the difference between the two is minimal and RX 580 has advantage of costing less and FREESYNC support.

This is a great deal, I’m looking for a new card right now but I can’t decide if go with the rx580 here (I’ve read it can be a tad noisy) or the nitro+580 or jump to the nitro+590 special edition all seem very well priced at oc I just can’t decide? I would appreciate your opinions

If money allows I'd get the Sapphire 590, its cooler is huge, its quiet and its one very fast card indeed and you get all three games with the 590.
