Best Place for a Couch

Evening all hope you all had a Great Christmas :)

Just wondering where most are going these days for a new Couch.Looking for the living Room not leather though had ours 5 years and it needs replacing and a nightmare to obtain

It's best you just go to every sofa shop and shop around as buying a sofa is very personal. You want to sit on it and feel if it's right for you.

Do you want a sofa to sit on or sit in?

Ours are very formal so are sit on.

I'm now looking at getting a sofa to sit in and going to go with Ikea because it's cheap.
 
We went with John Lewis for a recent purchase. the Barbican sofa. @Psycho Sonny makes a good point about sit on or sit in: this leans more on than in, but is not used as a living room sofa. They're much more loungey (from Next).

Hot tip, if you go down the JL route: keep an eye on eBay. We got ours, new from a third party furniture seller (probably a customer return or cancelled sale), for £875 including delivery, when it would have been close to £1500 in store.
 
We got our sofas from sterling they’ve lasted 3 years so far and still going strong. Went in for a look had a sit in a few, picked one and negotiated a price! Funny how sofas shops are on a permanent sale if you ask.
