So on the x470 Aorus Ultra gaming, just got the F30 bios update and FINALLY I can run the ram at 3200mhz after a year of 3000 being the max without the MB boot looping at me.
So my question is, can I now push it higher to 3400 ? at cl 14 with 1.45 - 1.475v ?
Or should I keep it at 3200mhz and push the timings down to 12,12,12 e.t.c ?
Can someone give me advice and settings to use to get this ram screaming

Very tempted by this now at the current price. Not sure I can hold out much longer.

Currently running some CL16 RAM at 3200mhz on a Ryzen 1700 without any problems so I'm hoping this should be up to speed straight away.

Great stuff for Ryzen this. I've been running 4 sticks at 3200 C14 happy as larry on an X370 board.

All platforms prefer Samsung B Die, not just AMD, it is simply just the best IC and the screened stuff is very good for overclocking too. We often see these 3200 kits running around 4000MHz in Intel platforms and in Ryzen 3 these kits will do very well as AMD have further improve memory clock frequencies on new platform and chipset.

You speculating there Gibbo or have you seen some demonstrations?

Seen it AMD and motherboard manufacturers have put way more effort into new chipset to further improve DRAM frequencies and as before B Die will also be preferred option for both tight latencies and high frequencies.

So is 4000Mhz realistic for most people then on Zen 3 or should we be settling for 3866MHz as something more realistic? I got some of this RAM in 2017 but can't get it stable at 3200MHz as my 1700 is a bit crap with memory speeds above 3000MHz, If i can get it up to 4000MHz + with a bit of tinkering then that would be welcome news.

No way of telling if you'll get better results now, only thing to do is have a play with it. I'm running this RAM, but my motherboard differs to yours, but I've had mine running at 3200xmp no isues from day one and I've updated the BIOS twice on it now and the first update allowed 3466mhz @ CL14 no problem and now I've got it stable at 3666mhz CL14, when previous BIOS wouldn't do anything beyond 3466 even on relaxed timings. All settings we used based on Ryzen DRAM calculator, as I've no idea what I'm doing when it comes to memory overclocking.

Interestingly, 3666mhz@CL14 gives me slower Cinebench R15 scores than 3466@CL14 and in pubg the FPS has a notable drop too on the faster RAM settings... go figure :S

I bought this last night with a view to a Ryzen2 build whenever that arrives, is it likely to work? and will it work with current Ryzen?

It will indeed work, I would advise a decent motherboard though as I had problems with my aorus ultra gaming (should have not been so cheap and got the better board that doesnt have such a stupid name)
I Could not run a 3200mhz version of this ram at rated speed for over a year until a bios update cured it.

Thanks. I'll be getting a good 570 board in all likelyhood (I'm assuming they're coming?), not the top end, but equivalent to this:

Hopefully something similair should be good enough, i've never had a single issue with ASUS boards tbh.
