Hello all, I bought a computer here back in 2013 with help from this board which has served me really well,
but the time has come when it is struggling with the new games that are coming out. Recently tried to play hell let loose and the GPU is showing as the bottle neck

Could you give me some advice on if it could be upgraded or should I get a new gaming PC (budget would be up to £1800).

Current build as it is, yes...windows 7... For some reason i could not upgrade it to 10...

Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) -

Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-02050)

Antec 1100 Eleven Hundred Ultimate Gaming Tower Case - Black

Corsair Builder Series CX 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CP-9020015-UK

Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gbs 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) HDD (primary)

Samsung ssd 850 EVO 250gb (secondary)

Avexir MPower Yellow Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U16000904G-2CM)
Added another 8 GB of RAM from a generic name.

Many thanks in advance!

This is just me but i would get a new computer instead of upgrading that current pc you have now, yes the processor may be still be capable but i would go new.

Wait until july time this year to see the new ryzen 3000 processors that you may be interested in and well as the new graphics cards to be released as well during the time of july this year.

Response at the ready 'son'.
Quick read through that thread shows me just how computer illiterate and out of date I am! :D

The monitor is a BENQ GL2250-T, got it with the PC back in 2013. It's in good nick but the screen got sneezed on by someone and it just wont clean up! So maybe gettin a new one is in order and using this one as a secondary.

You will want to squeeze a new monitor into your £1800 budget to do your new system justice - it will make all the difference.

Thanks for all your responses! I will probably do just that, I think my budget may be ok for it! :D

to be honest with £1800. you should be able to ...

question is - how much x570 boards will bump up pricing of ryzen 3000 package ....

also pricing of RX 5700 XT (which is same performance) , which is meant to slightly nudge RTX 2070 out the way ....

rough Intel + Nvidia guide currently
