I'm off to the 'Ring again next week so the FD2 was brought out of the garage ready to pack it, with the M140i tucked up for the week. Both cars really need a wash, will do that after the holiday.

Seeing that S2000 again makes me want another though!

Cheers @grudas, I've spotted an Imola Orange one which is the colour I want, but it's been self serviced for a bit. Then again I'd only be using it on track so i guess the important thing is it being rust free (which he claims it is). Hmm. The sensible side of me says keep going wtih FWD until I've got nothing more to learn and I feel I'm a year or so away from that.

self servicing seems to be common, mine is mostly specialist and honda.

I want to service it my self as I know I am perfectly capable of doing a good job but will take it to specialist just to keep that history going..

imola orange is an awesome colour! one I really wanted but the blue I got pops in the sun and looks great too.

I was set on imola orange or yellow but both are rare and when they go up for sale they're either too far gone or too expensive!

Stick with the dc5 if you think you still need to learn a fwd. Didn’t the last s2000 end up written off ? You must like the dc5 as you’ve had it well over 6 months

Rust is such a killer on these now. I’m gonna sell my blue one soon. Never drive it and was at work for 1.5yrs. Didn’t feel that great driving it the other week :(

I didn't realise DC5's were 4 door @Simon. I'm not sure what writing an S2000 off has to do with the price of fish, I also wrote a DC5 off about 10 years ago, maybe I should rule out FWD cars too?

I think the fd2 is one of those "all the car you ever need". It's practical, can fit 4, and you can have a great hoon when you're alone. I've been looking at them a lot recently and may try one when I have the opportunity just to see if it lives up to my expectations.
