The story that was spun went something along the lines of purchasing a cheap simple car for his friend to get more experience as a learner in. Its now sort of morphed into a cheap as chips fun little project shoebox, involving lots of stickers mainly. It's a Diahatsu Mira built under licence by the Malaysians.

The proper Miras can be heaps of fun so I imagine the bootleg version might be too, with the right approach.

In acme's chair.
^ what he said. But I also just wanted it "for a laugh" and was egged on by one of my mates. :p

And yeah it is a surprising amount of fun to chuck around some B roads, especially now it has supportive seats! (and a fruity side exit exhaust )

I'm also going to be painting and lowering it, both in a very janky manner. Oh and I have some 13" Daihatsu alloys to replace the 12" steelies too.

Not actually done today (couple of months ago), but decided I didn't like the colours of the wheels so had them changed - probably not to everyones tastes but I like them which is the most important thing!:

Always had the original wiper blades on the M3 really but thought I'd try those flat Alca ones again as I did like them. They're £15 on eBay whereas the original ones are double the price. I'll probably go back to original fit but the old style ones judder sooner whereas the flat ones lift at speed so a compromise between both, can't win!.

I also wanted to check some bits under the car, so enlisted the help of the neighbour's little helper.

Not today but yesterday, had a blowout on the way to work. Not sure how it managed to chip the wheel so that'll be additional expense over the tyre. Also not best pleased that a 4,000 mile old, 7 month old tyre has blown a hole in the sidewall.

Could have been worse I guess, I was 30 seconds from getting up to speed for an NSL dual carriageway, though having the blow out at 30mph on the entry to a roundabout whilst alongside a truck was enough for me.

Have to say by my experience that tyre looks pretty bad for only 4K miles/7 months - mine still look not far off new at 4K miles and mine take a beating.
