Nice - did you sell your A7iii? What glass have you got to go with it - get some 240MP pics on here STAT :D.

A7iii will be going on sale this week. As for glass, I havent got anything new for ages now but have the following to try on it

Sony 135mm F1.8
Sony 24mm F1.4
Sony 85mm f1.4
Batis 18mm F2.8
Sony 24-70 f2.8
Sony 100-400 F4.5-f5.6
Sony 16-35 f4
Sony 55mm f1.8
Sony 90mm Macro f2.8

Some of them should be up to doing the 61mp sensor justice :p

I have the 1.4tc so dont really need the 200-600 lol

I am finding i hardly ever use the 16-35 or 55mm anymore so think I will sell them both on. I keep using the primes like the 18mm and 24mm all the time. When they are that good you never seem to want to use the 16-35 zoom.

55mm just isnt working for me as I always grab the 85mm instead and stand a little further back.

Might get the 35mm then to fill the gap then.

Lol over my dead body! The 24mm and 135mm are just too sublime. The two lens on my body the most atm. The 24-70 isnt as impressive as it should be IMO.

I wouldn't pay over £1000 for that GM used personally, it's not a better lens optically than the Canon 24-70L mk2 and I hazard to guess my mk1 was better than the GM. I really want one but it's just don't feel like it lives up to the GM tag.

it doesnt. it is the oldest GM lens I think and it shows. The focus motos are two generations newer on the latest SOny GM lens and you can tell. Plus sharpness is only just good enough for GM. It should really only be a G lens and a lot cheaper IMO. Glad i bought mine second hand.

Sony could really do bringing out a mark II with the new focus motors and some betterr glass now they have the Mark IV out

Pancake day. Snagged a bargain XF 27mm f2.8 from einfinity. At roughly £60 less than the going rate for used, I was happy to go for a grey import.

Nice. I'm tempted by the 27 as a compact walkaround for my XT10 (even though I have the 18-55) but I think I'd always prefer to get the 23/f2 for the 'right' focal length :)

Crikey, which bank or credit company did you rob?

I gather this is for a large production movie?

I run a video production company, but just commercial not cinema/broadcast. We currently use Sony FS5s and we've hired RED's a few times in the past so it's a nice upgrade/jump up.

Arrived today and shooting with it tomorrow so was a late setup/test/play and packed up ready! Few more accessories to get, mainly the bits to convert an existing Zacuto shoulder rig but don't need that this week.

So far looks really good but obviously haven't tested everything. It's the Helium so shot in 8K @ 25/60 which is all we need for this week but looking forward to seeing the 4K @ 150 all graded. We don't need it for everything we do so may well look into hiring it out when not in use.
