AMD's FidelityFX brings Shadow of the Tomb Raider's visuals to new heights - Tested

The difference is relatively huge.

Without RIS:

With RIS:

Out of all the images in that article those two are the worst as they are not exactly the same, only a few pixels out but definitely different. use the slider on the article and you will see what I mean.

As for the others, its subtle by the improvement is there.:)

I am getting old. I can't see a difference between those 2 images lol
I know why, because they are missing RTX logo’s :p

I am not on my PC right now but on an iPad and cannot see much difference myself if I am being honest. That is not what I would call night and day difference. For me night and day difference is 1440p compared with 2160p. Much better image quality in the latter ;)

You can see a difference on the "grain" of the textures. Which is something you see diminished when using DLSS.

It sharpens the textures without sharpening the whole image and causing distortion.

Yup, to me it's minor...
very minor different.
Then from one blind old man to another, trust me boys you need to get your peepers checked out again. It's orders of magnitude different. But then I am a media developer of many years so I'm trained to see this sort of thing.
...kind of thing i doubt you would really notice ingame really.
Same with DLSS vaseline mode, but that doesn't stop the legions trashing and defending it :P
it's a very sharp game to begin with, so RIS has a minor effect
Not based on the FX off pictures it's not. Oh, and this isn't RIS, this is FidelityFX. Very big difference.

I didn't quote your post, I was speaking to 4k who posted RIS images with very little different other than with RIS on the character's hair is full of artifacts, yuck!
