Police dealing with incident on London Bridge amid reports of shots fired

''Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn tweeted that the reports from London Bridge were "shocking" and his thoughts were with those who were caught up in the incident.''

That isn't a comment on whether he should have been arrested etc..

See he past form re: Bin Laden and the more recent killing of the ISIS leader - if he thinks that an arrest should have been made during a military raid and where the suspect was wearing an actual suicide vest then will be interesting to see if he stays true to form on this incident.

Guy is wearing a bomb vest (no way to know in the heat of the moment if it’s real/fake), then it’s got to be shoot first ask questions later

If it was real and he detonated it then who knows how many could have been killed

Lord Jeremiah is a simpleton but I don’t think even he is stupid enough to make a comment along those lines just before a general election.

Not proactively... but it is an obvious line of questioning for a journalist.

Especially prefaced with the comments he's on record as making re: Bin Laden or the ISIS leader - just need to straight up ask him whether he thinks the police should have arrested this guy, he was quite happy to make that assertion re: the US military carrying out a rather more difficult operation and with greater threat to themselves.

Early days yet, but I'm thinking state-sponsored attacks in the name of 'terrorism, when really it's to get the electorate to go hating on foreigners and thus vote Tory. It happened in 2017 and sadly it's happening again now.

Utter pointless loss of lives / casualties :(

There's attacks carried out by muslims every week somewhere in the world (not that our media report on many of them) so why is this so hard to believe that its just another Islamofascist exactly?

Sounds like members of the public saved lives here.

I love the fact that members of the public show these scum that they will never win, their bravery is sobering!

Then what are all those bollards going up for? or the immensely authoritarian snoopers charter? What about the constant reminders about unattended bags? The watchful eye posters in every major public building?

They've already won.

Except they have already won. Spend 2 minutes in GD reading the Islamophobic drivel to realize how successful the terrorists have been.

I'm not getting drawn into that debate, I still applaud the bravery of the "general public", in all honestly I'm not sure I would be that courageous

That's a weird take there... they've "won" because lots of people don't like them???

Perhaps more so because lots of people don't like people who look like them, ergo fueling it (as well as fueling the other side of the extremist coin) somewhat in a decidedly unironic obviousness.
