https://www.asrock.com/Graphics-Card/AMD/Radeon RX 5600 XT Challenger D 6G OC/#Specification

18WGP (36CU)
Boost Clock: Up to 1620 MHz / 12.0 Gbps
Game Clock: 1460 MHz / 12.0 Gbps
Base Clock: 1235 MHz / 12.0 Gbps
1 x 8-pin Connectors
3 x DisplayPort / 1 x HDMI
240.6 x 126.5 x 53.0 mm
Stream Processors - 2304
Recommended PSU - 550W

If this goes for $299 it will completely decimate the 2060.

(The above stolen directly from a post Poneros put up.)

-------

I am surprised by the 2304 core count, and the 12GBPS memory usage. I wonder if that was a mistake on the core count and they were cut/pasting.

It's gonna be held back a lot by the lack of bandwidth, that's why it's not a mistake (imo). It's probably a lot better for yields & costs as well (speculation). Heck, we see that with 5700 XT already - if it didn't have a wimpy 256-bit bus it could be a real beast. That's why Navi felt like such a disappointment to me, but probably better for the average customer & AMD - there's not much left in the tank (eg with water), which is diametrically opposed to how Vega was (which is what I went for).

Sadly, even though it's good value, it's hard to not look at Vega 56 and see what great value that was, both at launch - yes, even at launch, and also more than a year ago when it was going for £350 or less, w/ sick game bundles.

Dunno, it feels just as lame as the 5500 XT. It's just not a game changer in any way, neither performance nor price. Good for new builders, because it's relative to nothing, but the GPU market is so boring now, and I know it's just because we're in that phase of the console cycle where the hammer's gonna get dropped next year, and then we get some real excitement for GPUs in 2021. Otherwise, not much is happening anywhere but the highest end. Similar performance for similar costs but with new names, 2-3 years later. :(

Assuming the specs are legit, then overclocking the memory to 14gbs I would imagine would be easy. The core... who knows.

The weird thing is, overclocking Navi based stuff doesn't really seem to do much from what I have seen.

Given that the 5700 was released at 349 and can be easily purchased for 299... I really think that it will need to be around 250. But then, AMD (RTG) seems think highly of themselves lately without actually backing it up in perf/value.

Price being considered for the 5600XT is $279-$299. $299 seems likely :( - clocks around ~1300Mhz depending on the AIB model. It's a new tape-out of the 5700 die, different specs though.
- Coreteks

Heard pretty much the same thing. Board partners want 279, but AMD says 299 USD. It's going to be a very hard sell with custom models touching 5700 pricing..
- Videocardz

Hmmm. Maybe it will be $249 by summer.

any more than 250 and its not worth it. i thought it was being made to compete with the 1660 super. so would need to be 200-220 ideally.

Was about to post that link about prices. Crazy. Just crazy. You can get some 5700 cards for $299 with an AIB cooler. Again AMD overpricing compared to their OWN cards. They can want to be premium but they are just driving people to the competition in the lower segment now. Crazy.

The 5500 was overpriced, the 5600 is going to be overpriced it seems. Just kinda stunned really unless this is some bizarre financial numbers game they are playing.

I just don't get AMD lately. Only the 5700 pricing made sense.

I don't like that it has so large cooler. This should have been a card with Nano size, max 232 mm in length, not 305 mm.
What is this waste of precious metal for? Why did they start to make mid-range cards with top ultra premium coolers?

Not even, it's still going to be thin but stretched out. I bet it's not even 100g. The worst of all possible worlds. :(

:( Yup, all the people with cases in which this type of lengthy cards won't fit.
I have a case where the HDD cage can be set so it will accommodate such a card, but I still won't buy similar or this one.

Welcome to the world of cards pushed out of their efficency window to squeeze every last ounce of performance from them.:)

Looks like the 'standard' model should be MSRP'd at $249, and the better cards $259-299, and it's going for RTX 2060 6GB at the top end, meaning that the RX 5700 still has a spot at $319+. UK pricing is £229 inc. VAT, and the better cards at £239-279.

TBH is the cards have any headroom at all in the RAM, and I think they will, then the extra bandwidth could see them really hitting it out of the park against the RTX 2060 making the previous £299 market almost 25% cheaper overnight.

I am gonna be completely honest. Unless they reduce the 5500xt 8gb price...I just can't see them having it for sale at 250 USD.. maybe GBP. 5700 MSRP is 350 (but they can be bought for 299). So I am going to guess at 279 USD. Maybe they will be 250 GBP.

Well the £279 RX 5700 is going to be difficult to ignore if they are indeed £249 for the most basic version.

It seems like MSRP bares no relation to what they actually sell for either, at least in some markets.

The current prices wont stick, its the initial launch so they will release way over and drop over time. I remember the 550 being around £100, 560 £125, 570 £170 , 580 £220 when pricing an AMD rig not so long ago. The tiers should get back to that stagger one day, it will probably take about a year though judging by how they are making a hash of it.
