Asus Rog Strix x570-f - Windows won't boot after bios update...

So I updated to the latest bios, everything seemed fine at first and booted into windows, loaded the same settings I had previously. Mostly auto with memory profile selected. cinebench score was 1000 lower then normal so went back into the bios and enabled precision boost, and restarted. Got some weird message about the vga not being compatible, restarted and then wouldn't even let me into the bios.. Removed sata drives and it let me into the bios, but not windows won't load.

I can repair the install and get in, the only issue I can see is Asus Suite is going nuts, constant messages about not being able to load... ??

However when I restart windows it again fails to load and I have to go through the repair process again, and again when I get into Windows Asus Suite gives me the same messages.

I can try reinstalling Windows, but why is this happening?

On the plus side cinebench scores are back to normal......

Asus Suite, like similar from other makers aren't known from quality, except bad one.
So it could well be the cause.
Have you tried uninstalling it?

Yes, I tried... managed to remove with a cleaner but when re-installing the same error messages kept coming up.

Managed to recover windows install with a my recovery stick but ended up re-installing anyway due the the Asus Suite issue. Waste of an afternoon but it is what it is.

I need the software for fan control, annoying but could be worse I guess.

EDIT: Starting to really dislike this motherboard.

Any idea what this message is about? I've enabled CSM compatibility so hopefully won't get the message again but it's an Asus Strix RTX 2080Ti.....

Nothing beats Aqua computer's fan controllers for controlling fans.
Actual control code is run on own hardware and settings managing (really programming) software is made to do the job, not to to have ADHD marketing garbage and BS bloatware.

Those can be also used longer than expensive motherboards.

Nice, might invest in one of these if Asus software gives me anymore trouble.

I've never trusted motherboards and those bloatware programs to control fans.
After using manual fan controllers like dozen years I've used Aquaero nearing three years.

I have it set literally such way that it doesn't matter, if Windows somehow jams and Aquaro stops getting software readings for CPU temperature:
I attached physical sensor to base of CPU cooler and Aquaero starts using that if its reading is higher than software reading.
Alternative would have been just setting "fail safe" default for CPU software sensor reading to use after set time delay of no communication.

Another sensor is measuring case temperature near CPU area and that's combined with CPU temperature to have smoother than CPU temp control for case fans.

For just PWM fans Quadro offers same controllability than Aquaero.
Unless four temperature sensors isn't enough...

i had a very similar problem with my setup, updated my formula to the latest bios and cpu temps were going nuts and voltages seemed all over the place, don't use ai suite as i have a commander pro controlling all my fans, tbh even the commander pro was being weird on the latest bios, thankfully i was able to roll back to the previous bios without problems via ez setup in the bios, soon as the older bios was loaded hey presto cpu temp's, voltages were all back to normal and my commander pro worked too.

its not too late to roll back your bios, just use the machine to download the previous version on to a memory pen, restart and via ez mode pick the usb drive find the bios and run it, what ever you do don't update to a newer version as asus wont let you roll back.

the latest version for my board was 1302 but that screwed up my build so rolled back to 1201, been fine since rolling back

with your board x570-f you have version 1407 installed checking on asus's website you can only roll back to version 1404, there is a message that reads
* You will not be able to downgrade your BIOS after updating to this BIOS version (1404) try this one and see if the pc works as it did prior to updating.

hope this helps
