Hello,

Thinking of going there maybe during easter period, any ideas on where to like book things? All the disnep hotels around seem expensive on the official website.

Can anyone with previous experience help? eg where they stayed

thanks a lot

The Disney Hotels are really nice for a first time visit, the Cheyene (wild westO is the nicest themed of all the hotels.

I've personaly stayed in the Cheyene and the New York.

There are also 4 extra hotels which are just outside, these are non Disney and much cheaper a free shuttle bus is laid on which takes about 10 mins.

The 4 hotels are:

1) Explorers Hotel - Family system with rooms for upto 10 people
2) Kyriad - French Chain I think
3) Movenpick Dream Castle, Nicest breakfast I think its 4 *
4) Holiday Inn another 4* really good deals from the holiday inn website.

If you stay in one of those hotels you can save quite a bit and then book normal park tickets seperatly.

If you stay more then 3 nights say or theres quite a few of you going, purchasing an annual passport works out cheaper.

Any questions ask away, I'm a shareholder and an annual passport holder so I should know the answer.

Do you have any dates in mind yet?

Also how many people & there ages going?

Oh oh oh a Disney thread. Me and my friend want to go to disney, but when it is cheap. We don't care we we go, apart from it has to be a weekend (leave UK friday, return sunday night). Would you be able to recommend a good cheap time to go?

Oh there will be 2 of us going, 22 (23 in March) and 23.

2 questions to start off.

1) Where abouts in the UK are you for transport ?
2) Do you have to stay in an Disney Hotel, or is price the most important factor?

Ive stayed in the Kyriad before.. didnt even book - just turned up (July this year). From memory the prices were really cheap.. i think about £50 for the room per night. The rooms are quite nice, probably better than the average 3*

The hotel is within the disneyland complex and is a very short free shuttle bus ride away from the park.

Price is the more important factor, idealy close but not to fused with the hours train ride from Paris if needs be. We're from Essex, 3 train stops and the tube to Waterloo for Euro Star, half hour from Stansted.

You might be better with Flights as I don't know what airlines from from Stanstead but Euro Star is about £85 each.

The earliest Eurostar can arrive is about 11.30 but as it arrives outside the gates its pretty great.

The other 2 elements

1) Park Tickets = £80 each
2) Holiday Inn is £110 total for 2 nights inc Breakfast

So if you went on Eurostar you would be looking at approx £220 each.

To cut this down further you could find cheap flights and schedule the visit around this. Transfer from the airport is about €30 each return.

Its possible to get slightly cheaper hotels further out, but based on the length of time your there and the costs of the RER the Holiday Inn is great
value.

Invite me along and I can reduce the cost of your park tickets by 15% :)

Your right the associated hotels are great value,

But then Holiday Inn is usualy the same price or cheaper

And its much nicer then the Kyriad its 4*.

Must stop pimping the Holiday Inn :D

I went there as a student. I don't remember much. We found a hole in the fence to import drinks. Who's idea was it to put all the students together?

:( i wish.

Its nothing like Disneyland in america (apparently).
the place was rammed.
there were 20minute queues just for water.
come 9o'clock it was pitch black and the place is so poorly lit that nobody knew where they were going.
Where the parades were on you couldn't move. Literally.
Some of the rides have 2 1/2 hour queues
Food was damn expensive. Altern Towers is cheap compared to that place.
Disneylan to me says big fluffy creatures and mice walking about. we saw NONE of that.

We were so dissapointed. The dinner we had the next day in a small restaurant with the rest of the guys who went was better than our entire day in disney land.

Mind you it wasnt so bad, it cost Me and the Gf about £350 in total for our holiday, and that was a hotel for 4 days, a day in disneyland, sight seeing around paris by day and night, up the eiffel tower and a full 3 course meal in a small but very posh restuarant. we even had snails for god's sake:p Looking at the prices some of you guys are paying just for getting the eurostar there and staying in a disney hotel, we got a bloody bargain IMO.

That sounds really bad. I know people have paid and everything but who would que for over 2 hours.

When its not the busyist day of the year is much better.

Last November the stuidos was practicly empty I rode Rock'N'Roller 12 times in row.

I've been a couple of times and both were out of busy season so it was easy to get on all the rides and bars weren't too busy in the evenings, but was flippin expensive (fiver a pint!).

I'd also recommend the Cheyene to stay at as it's not too Disney (because it can get a bit much) but still very close to the park.

Biggest tip... Do not, under any circumstances, waste your money on the photo package. There is virtually nowhere to get pictures taken.

Think we paid something like 70 or 80 quid and came out with 2 photos fir the week we were there. Rip off.
