27" appears to be the "sweet spot" goes at 1440p gaming - the LG27GL850 seems to be well regarded but is a bit out of your intended budget.

A mate of mine has just bought the Gigabyte Aorus FI27Q and is very happy with it - but again circa £100 over budget!

Maybe look at the equivalent models with a 24" screen?

Really you should be looking for an IPS screen with a decent refresh rate!

Looks very nice - it's a VA panel rather than IPS but mine is a VA panel and I've never had a problem with it!

Probably best to do some research between IPS and VA (and TN for that matter) to see what is and isn't important to you in terms of usage - then go shopping accordingly!

LG 27GL850 if you wait for deals. Best IPS gaming monitor running at 144hz with decent response times at the cost of contrast ratio.

I think IPS is so overrated for picture quality. Most of them struggle to give a 900:1 contrast ratio and even the best ones are around 1200:1..dark scenes get butchered and for dark room viewing, forget it. I best I've seen in a long time is the Agon 273QX, phenomenal picture.
