short spigot extractor fan

I am replacing a few, some go into standard ducting, some are between floors, and fit into hard line piped ducting, which turns quite swiftly, a normal manrose quiet has a spigot of around 100mm, have you any recommendation of a fan with a shorter spigot, 70mm or 50mm perhaps?

Can't you just cut off half of the spigot?

In our flat we needed a short one and this is exactly what I did. Used a small hacksaw. Wasn't difficult.

I'll lose the flaps for the none return, which I'd rather keep.
Ended up using the long version in another place, so I've to order a new fan anyway.
Wondered if anyone had suggestions on one that's a bit shorter, as the old ones coming out clearly were, but I've no idea of their manufacturer.
