Hi guys, decided to treat myself this year with a new build. My current PC is just over 5 years old with minimal upgrades since.

Current spec
CIT Vanquish case
MSI 797 gaming 5 atx
i5 4690k
GTX 970 Twin frozr
16GB Ram ddr3, not sure on spec only upgrade bar second ssd since building.
two Samsung SSD's which could be transferred to new build.

Budget ideally between 1200-1500, though can reuse my ssds

Been looking at the AMD 5600x but I imagine that's the resident unicorn at the moment
3070 seems to be the likely graphics card.

I'm not really sure on the remaining parts, been focusing a bit on the above and build around that, both looking unlikely for stock this side of christmas though.
any thoughts would be appreciated, bit of a rookie when it comes to PC components.

If you havnt pre ordered any of the parts you say then your going to be waiting a long time unless your lucky.

Anyways you will need a b550 or x570 motherboard msi tomahawk is s good option.16 or 32gb of 3200mhz or 3600mhz ram. A 650w to 750w psu unless your old one is good enough.

Are you reusing your case , psu ?

Thanks, yeah I thought as much:/
I doubt I'll reuse either case/Psu.
Love the idea of a complete fresh build.
