Quick question? Just received an MSi MAG B550 Tomahawk and on the box it states Ryzen 5000 Series Processors Ready in silver. Does this mean the BIOS has the support for me to plop a 5600x in?

I have a 5900x being delivered today, they seem pretty available at the moment. Question I have a Scythe Mugen 5, Are there any superior fans to add to this over the stock fan?

Depends if you want quiet or performance. I use the Corsair ML fans, 120 & 140 throughout and they are very controllable, very quiet with good performance. They are PWM and need the 12 volts for the magnetic levitation.

Thanks for this mate, yes its a tough call for sure, performance is the always goal but I can appreciate the silence too.

Scythe fans are nice and quiet, in my experience.

Yes, the fan that comes with it seems solid to be honest for the quiet, I have added a 2nd fan but that's probs not doing a 100% job. I can see me just adding another scythe fan just to match. Thanks for your input chaps

So how much difference would a 5800x be over my 3800xt?

Looking to get either a 3070 or 3080... More leaning to a 3080
Hardly any difference at all if you game at 1440P or above which I'd assume you would be with either of the above Gpus.

Definetly go for a 3080 over a 3070 though as your looking at around 25% more performance and the 2gb extra VRAM adds more futureproofing.

Depends a lot on what res you game at. 1440P or 4K and its not major. 1080P and not very demanding titles the gains are substantial.
I can either game on my 1440p monitor or hoodnit up to my LG CX which is 4k 120

Yeah I think I'll 100% go for the 3080, seems to be the sweet spot, it'll mainly be 1440 gaming so think I'll hold out on the 3800xt too
