There's loads of variables - high population density doesn't mean the build is easy, especially if it involves lots of road closures or having to dig up direct buried cables. A new-ish town that is fully ducted can probably be completed in a few weeks without having to do anything other than open existing chambers.
CityFibre aren't an ISP - you'd need to look at Zen and Vodafone's prices.

Eeek
I came to this thread because I have BT Full Fibre 900 service but am moving to a new house that only has a guaranteed download of 43mbps on Fibre.
It's on that list as 'Build Delivery Phase 21/22 – December 2026'
So is that "it could be added anytime in the next 5 years"?
No Altnet option? 4G/5G?You're telling me!
It'll be quicker to drive to my friends house (25 minutes) and plug my PC in there to download stuff
I’d expect you to get more than 43 with an external, directional antenna, yes. Potentially twice that even depending on mast distance and line of sight. There's no 5G
4G yes - Is that quicker than Fibre though?
