Ok, would like to beef up my security a bit. Thinking of a wireless video doorbell. Leaning towards the eufy one as you don't have to pay a subscription. Anyone have one of these?
It's pretty good and battery life is excellent. I have the odd notification delay, but other than that I'm happy.I ordered the 1080p eufy wireless for £79. Had a voucher to use so only £54. Worth a go for that outlay.
I have a pretty good mesh WiFi network, so I figured it should work pretty well. Want it more for keeping an eye on the driveway than anything. It's pretty good and battery life is excellent. I have the odd notification delay, but other than that I'm happy.
Yeah, you get 3 months free and then its £3 a month to be able to view old recordings.I was just looking at the Ring doorbell yesterday, the basic wired one, is there a monthly sub? (I obviously didn't look very hard!)
Mine is the opposite lol, I had it on max sensitivity and picked up everything including cats on my footpath. We've got a Ring and to be honest it's a bit ****, the amount of stuff it doesn't pick up even with the sensitivity ramped right up makes it almost useless as anything other than a doorbell to make noise if someone presses it.
It happily picks up cats walking past the front door or the headlights of cars passing in the middle of the night but completely misses us pulling on and off our parking spaces right in front of it or walking out the front door. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to what it manages to actually catch.Mine is the opposite lol, I had it on max sensitivity and picked up everything including cats on my footpath.
I now have it on medium and it seems just right
Yep it can.Does ring do zones? I'm not sure if our neighbour just isn't tech savvy but she says it notifies her of all events! Even cars. I can't believe it can't do zones?
