It’s a known NVIDIA issue with RTX 50 cards that was supposedly fixed with their recent driver update. But a simple workaround is just to switch the display to DP1.4 mode in the menu which works fine.I'm concerned that he's had issues using HDR on the display port, will have to take a look at that when mine arrives.
It's going to be a bit of a leap for me coming from an old Dell 38" IPS (U3818DW) 4K monitor running at 60Hz!
Here's our review. Feel free to ask questions here (or on YT) and I will try and reply![]()
I would worry more about burn in than sub-pixel rendering.Just watched, very thorough and looks good although, as I'm predominately productivity-focused, I still have reservations about going OLED and the sub-pixel rendering.
I also appreciated your comments on the curve but I sit about 90cm from my screen so I think it could be an issue.
The Odyssey G7 40" is the screen I'm really interested in but I'm starting to wonder if it actually exists at all.

Bendable model will be your best bet I expect. 45GX990ACurve is too aggressive at 800R for me personally on the LG 45GX950A, would be nice if they released options like 1200R - 1500R.
They’re still normal data ports but the upstream connection back to your pc is handled via the USB-C connection on this oneSilly question, what are the 2 usb ports for? Usually we use a USB B port alongside to connect to a computer for mouse or keyboard etc.

You must have been using yours for a little while now. I actually ordered one, but after delivery notification I got an update to say they’d oversold. They sent me a 10% discount code (sigh) but I’m interested to hear what your thoughts are now you’ve got to know it a bit better.
Reviews are great (particularly the TFT central one) but would love to hear what a normal person thinks about the curve, size and res etc.
It’s very much a personal preference which I hope came across in my review. I guess my point was that I went in to testing expecting to really dislike the curve, I’ve not enjoyed it in the past on smaller ultrawides for sure. But I was surprised how I got used to it and found it comfortable on something that large. To be fair, whilst Simon encouraged people to try the curve, saying it wasn't as harsh as you'd imagine, the Monitors Unboxed review was quite critical of it and I tend to agree.
Even if I didn't have issues with OLED due to heavy productivity use, the curve would put me off.

As Tim said as well, it does depend on your usage and content. I would just encourage people to try a screen this size before ruling it out entirely on the curve, even if they’ve had a smaller curved monitor before. I’m not saying I “love it” fully, I’d much rather a bendable option, but I was surprised it changed my views a bit
No worries. Yes totally agree, something like that is very subjective.Oh yeah I fully understand and wasn't criticising your review at all, just saying how perspectives can be different.
I’ve actually not used it a great deal as yet as I’ve been away for work. However I have used it for a twelve hour work stint and found it excellent for productivity. I found it very easy to get used to the curve, yes spreadsheets seemed a bit odd at first, but again, not really a problem. Nothing planned this weekend so will get some gaming done and report back. You must have been using yours for a little while now.
