The biggest difference to facelift from a dynamic point of view is the magnetic suspension option really does improve the handling and body control a lot. Other than this it’s not much the LCD dash in facelifts is very cool but prefer the analogue retro dials of the pre facelift.

Out of S550/S650 generation cars I’d say the Bullit is the best of them all as Ford got that car so right. Not that keen on the new S650 cars which is just a facelift S550 as same chassis but I’d not say no to a GTD but it’s daft money for a Mustang even if it can rival a GT3 RS, I’d still take latter but even then I’d not want one of those as they are a useless road car, previous gen GT3’s are far better to live with.

i'd have liked a facelift with the active exhaust and the magnaride also, but my criteria is already so specific that I was limiting myself to a very specific niche. I wanted:

  • April 2017 or later for the later road road, up to a budget of around a 2019 model so searching 2017-2019
  • Manual
  • Must be the 5.0 V8
  • exclude written off cars
  • yellow or orange.
right now that gets me a choice of 2 cars on autotrader - both pre facelift. When I was buying mine the choice was similarly slim. Searching is somewhat complicated as they don't appear to all use the same wording for the option, but I make it about 3 cars for sale in the uk right now with the magnaride dampers. 2 Bullits both around £41k and a 2021 in silver at 37k - 10k over the cost of what I paid and in a crap colour. I had the feeling had I waited for the exact perfect spec I wanted - i'd be still waiting in 2026.

This was kind of my issue too.
I wanted a facelift, convertible, 5.0, manual, with custom pack 2 (heated and cooled seats + B&O), and Magnaride.
After a month or two of 0 cars fitting that spec coming up for sale I decided to drop the Magnaride requirement. That presented a single car for sale which was the one I bought because it was right in every other way.
If I was happy for an auto then there were several to choose from.

Does your Mach-E have a "My other car is a real Mustang" sticker? If not you're missing a trick! :p

Decided to give my Cayenne to my wife and get this 2018 Lincoln Navigator L Reserve. Drove up to Dallas to pay for it today, only had a short drive of it but I really enjoyed it. Forgot to get a photo of the interior which is definitely my favourite part, but I was rushing as I wanted to get home before it got too late.

Posted about this car a few weeks ago. Went to see it in person and it was absolutely stunning. full service history, loads of receipts for everything, had a brand new set of michelin pilot sport 4s all round in the last 9 months or so, appears to have been very well looked after by it's last owner. No signs of any rust or corrosion.

It's not standard, i've got some receipts for some wheel spacers which have improved the stance, and it's got the aftermarket side window stick on grill things (unsure about these) and it's got an afetermarket exhaust. But it's a shadow edition so the rest (such as the blacked out badge, wheels etc..) is factory.

Heres a quick little vid of the startup

Nice!

I looked at a yellow shadow edition (convertible) and almost bought it, the pre-facelift 2017+ sweet spot are much more affordable than the facelifts, almost a bargain IMO.. I had to add £12k+ to get a 2 year newer facelift (55 Edition Convertible with Magneride) which took me outside my comfort zone..
