Carabao Cup 4th Round Football Thread ** spoilers ** [28th - 29th October 2025]

If you mean Slot then, did he really win the league with his tactics or was it the leftovers of Klopp's system which he let play out?
that's such a lazy argument, anyone with half a brain could see how we differed last season to the previous under Klopp.

Seems to have switched to his tactics this season and it seems to be going Pete Tong, it does make you wonder how much of Klopp’s influence was still at play last season especially looking at them now

Yes, he really did win the league with his own tactics.

Last season, there was plenty of analysis on Liverpool showing that they weren't playing like Klopp had them play the previous season.

They've had a strange summer, losing a popular player from the squad and bringing in players who aren't direct replacements and are difficult to drop, given their price tags.

Like many previous champions, they started the season poorly but still managed to grind out results. Considering they haven't lost any game by more than one goal, apart from last night's game where it was clear what Slot's thoughts on this competition were given the side he put out, the whole crisis thing seems a bit strong.

I was at Swansea last night and was very worried first 20mins they deserved their lead. But we grew into game 2nd half was all city. But fair dues to Swansea.
Nice Poznan after 3rd goal. Shame can't really find any footage of it

Genuine question, has there ever been a Dutch manager that has succeeded in the PL? Louis van Gaal flopped at Utd (I think), ETH flopped at United and now we have Slot and his cluelessness.
I might be misremembering, but didn't Koeman do pretty well at Southampton?

Missing the joke here
Koeman tweeted some sort of Christmas message along with a picture of his Christmas tree, the tree was covered in red decorations though and Evertonian's didn't take too well to it. His wife had to go out and buy new decorations for it and he posted a picture of the new tree. He was being asked about it in his press-conference, even having to defend the fact that he likes red wine.

Seriously?

Edit - yes: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-38184687

I'm lost for words. People moaned about red decorations at Christmas
