Games you're playing, and games...

Feel I'm about halfway through Ninja Gaiden 4. Really enjoying the action. Don't like some the enemies though, particular the flying lanterns. Moving and combat is quicker and even more fluid than previous games.

EA has hit hard on BF6 - it's now 'season 1' {sigh}, full of buy this and that nonsense and skins seem to be ebbing towards daft.... can't say I'm surprised; they're determined to ape COD

Completed Moss Book 1 on PSVR2. Really enjoyed it, never expected a 3D platformer to work in VR but it did, loved the animation style. Hated the final boss, couldn't get my timings right and my hands were sweating buckets, couldn't hold controllers properly :D
Looking forward to playing the sequel.

Borderlands 4. 15 hours or so in and enjoying it so far. Completed my first vault earlier which is basically zones of increasingly harder enemies and a boss at the end. Was intense but I got through it.

I think it's a toss up between that and Astro Bot as the best VR game for me. So so good.

Borderlands 4. Just need to complete one side quest (currently bugged) and get 3 alts to 50 to get Platinum. Don't think I have the patience for the latter though.

I've been following the PC thread. Seems great. In a bit of a gaming rut, I'm no good at online PVP shooters these days. How is Arc on that side of things on PS5? A bit of teamwork and jeopardy in it? (Im thinking dark Zone early days Divison) or just a gank fest?

I've played arc raiders for 35 hours and not really had many pvp fights you can avoid 90% of them but you do get a few who will just shoot on sight or wait till your back is turned. Great game though

Would you say it's ready for play or still in a "only get it now if you're mad keen, otherwise wait for polish"?

Some minor bugs with menus and inventory but nothing major. Doesn’t like rest mode the game crashes out every time. I am loving it overall though. Needs a few patches for sure.

Arc Raiders is very different to COD, BF or any other traditional FPS - certainly not a gank fest. It's not a "twitchy FPS" and the combat is relatively slow in my opinion so you don't need to have lightening fast reactions although being quicker does help. As noted above, you can avoid 90% of fights if you want but there will always be opportunists who will shoot you in the head the minute your back is turned. For reference, I've been playing on PS5 and I've gone into plenty of raids as a solo and ended up teaming up with people. I've also been in a few scraps - lost a few and won a few. Going into each raid, not knowing what could happen is exciting and, if you do loose a fight and you die, it's not as painful as it can be in other extraction games like Tarkov for example.

Like you, I was also in a gaming rut until recently. This has changed that. It's a great game though and well worth a go.
