Ahh cool. Is it good? As in worth £200 or not/

Yes oh yes.

Sometimes I just spend a week or so watching them all through, 7 or so a day :)

The tin is a PITA though, there's no room for the new films, it only fits 20 :(

The Spy Who Loved Me.

First scene: skiing down with assassin's chasing him on snow mobiles, gets to a cliff, flies off, parachute opens and Boom, union jack flag.

Carly Simon kicks in for the theme tune, then lands into a submarine with a bottle of champagne and a half naked fit russian.

How can you possibly better that?

I know it's traditional to hate on it, but I do love Walken's general insanity, so View to a Kill.

But best is now Casino Royale. And OHMSS get's an honourable mention too.

I'll stop now before I end up naming all of them.

When you watch and see one ski nearly pierce the parachute, a time when stunts were 100% real. Roger Moore films for stunts are amazing, the films took it to another level. A few stuntmen suffered as a result.

Very tough choice, if I was to name one actor, Timothy Dalton for me. A Licence to Kill & The Living Daylights.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is a close second. OHMSS is spot on for the book.

Dalton rejuvenated Bond to be like the books only it was too soon for the box office. It took 20 years until Casino Royale in 2006 before viewers accepted a grittier, tougher and an Ian Fleming Bond.

Sean Connery - From Russia With Love (Robert Shaw makes this film as per Jaws)
Roger Moore - For Your Eyes Only
Pierce Bronsnan - Tomorrow Never Dies
Daniel Craig - Casino Royale

Sorry just my opinion, View to a Kill was pretty awful. I watched it the other day funnily enough. The theme tune by Duran Duran was great, and Walken did a convincing maniac as a bad guy, but otherwise was awful, couldn't stand Grace Jones either.

Casino Royale just killed Daniel Craig straight out as James Bond, I've only watched parts of the subsequent movies with him in as to me his character is not James Bond.

Yea I really like Dalton and the two he did were great.

Edit: also to all those that said Goldeneye, see, I just at prefer some of the earlier Roger Moore or Dalton, some of the Sean Connery to me are "truer" James Bond movies, but I'd say as a stand alone movie, I kinda agree it probably was the best of the lot.

Die another day as my design work got entire full cinema screen for about 1.5 seconds :)

But putting aside that, I am going to have to go with Moonraker & Goldfinger different times and standards. Bond now is to serious and due it being more serious you cant have gaping plot holes. AKA Bond wandering off to the middle of Scotland with nothing but a car with a machine gun headlights and gets attacked by attack helicopters with zero comeback from the RAF flying in shooting the crap out of the place for example :)

If you've read the books - which are the source material after all - Craig is more Bond than any of them. Odd that you like the Dalton's, since they are also closer to the books.

Tank chase in Goldeneye though :p

I'm a fan of The Living Daylights and License to Kill - just really like them :)

Ditto I have always loved the Dalton films. Goldeneye would be my third choice to round off the top 3.

For Sean you only live twice and Roger Moore spy who loved me. Just for the Lotus and best soundtrack out of them all.

The new bonds are not too bad but you need to look back in a decade or so to see how they age.

100% agree. Craig, Dalton are closer to the books, subtly reintroduced the traits of Flemings Bond who had flaws. Dalton reintroduced the seriousness and bad habits on the silver screen. Dalton smoked cigarettes (Fleming, a chain smoker and heavy drinker) when in the late eighties, the tide was turning against smoking and this was a controversial move at the time. Watch Moore's Bond who smokes Cigars.

Each actor brings his own to the role, Connery, Lazenby and Craig are very good actors when it comes to fight scenes, Moore, Dalton and Brosnan less so. When Casino Royale debuted it was rough, raw and the audience lapped it up, Craig's Bond has been diluted over the years, and I do fear for the next...
