Puppy - advice

Check out the Lakeland Terrier, Irish Terrier and although a bit bigger, the Airedale Terrier.
All are very intelligent dogs, respond well to training, are confident and are not yappy as some people put it. The Irish terrier and the Airedale need strict training when young so unless you are willing to discipline the dog, look for a more mainstream breed.

I had an Irish Terrier growing up, lovely looking dogs but ours, Corrie, was not the sharpest dog and no amount of training could correct her natural desire to not listen! Part of her charm though.

Conversely, our black Labrador, Jet, was an immensely well behaved dog that was easily trained by myself and dad to a high standard. A pleasure to be around, loved her so much.

I miss them both, but Jet espacially :(

Black labs are a great addition to the family, I grew up with one, and we picked Max (Lewtrenchard Hooray Henry) on Wednesday, very intelligent, loyal and loving.

Honestly one of the best dogs we've ever had. Such a great temperment, they don't molt, are playful when you want them to be and quiet when you want them to be too, intelligent dogs too!

We have two, they get on well with all other dogs. They don't really bark either

We got one of ours in Surrey, not sure where though sorry!!

My sister has one of these, they are absolutely wonderful dogs, very smart, and are just fun.

WE need mor blakc lab pics, he'll crack soon or if we're luck his girl friend will se the wee fellas and then its over :D

that is actually a certain breed of which they all look like that

but if i was going for a dog it would have to be one of those siberian wolf breeds, cant remember the actual name tho think it begins with an S and is named after the place where they come from?

Boxers are awesome. I'd get one if my parents weren't so anti-pet. But what I'd really love is a Siberian husky.

My family have had a white Alsation for eight years and it is a fantastic dog, it's very gentle with our cats and our new kitten too. It's a great guard dog too.

My GF and I are buying for ourself within the year.
