Phone spam!!!

Phone rings, i obviously answer expecting someone to speak, all i hear is a computer animated voice.

3 second delay -

Hello, this is an automated call from "call value".

at which stage i hang up..

bloody annoying, 2 in a month now..

At work I get about 3-4 phone calls a day from a BEEP ....... BEEP ........ BEEP and it continues. I just hang up because of the rumours I've heard about people calling others and charging the receiver and the caller getting paid. Not sure how true this is but I would be a lot more concerned about it at home. I would contact your phone provider and get the number barred. Dont cost anything either.

It is pretty annoying when these people call. The worst thing is running all the way up/downstairs to get the phone and finding out that it's something like this

yeah ive had a few of these automated spam calls hell even bt sent me one other day because i was 1 day late on paying the phone bill :eek:
