I'm having a very annoying problem that only happens after a shutdown or a reboot. I normally run at 400x8 = 3200mhz and whats happening is sometimes after a reboot or warm boot the bios changes to 266fsb which brings the cpu speed down to 2.13ghz (8x266). from then on whatever setting I put in the bios it doesn't take and will just keep coming back at 266. I have to reset the cmos to get things back to normal again. any idea what this is about? Is this an unstable overclock or something odd going on with the bios?

hope you can help

That could be an unstable overclock, try lowering your overclock a little and see hows that goes.
Is your current overclock Prime stable.

yep, it's prime stable but I've only tested it for about 2 hours or so, it's rock solid whilst in windows, it's just this reboot thing. will try lowering the clock a bit to see how it goes.

cheers
