Now this interesting year is pretty much over -

what's been your high points, and your low points?

For me:

Good parts:

Backpacked around Thailand for a month
Did my first scuba dive, fell in love, did advanced OW and have done about 20 dives
Job promotion
Pay rise
Did my first skydive
Website beginning to take off
Getting involved with an online startup with a huge financial backing with job offers for next year on the mainland
Getting a new boat
Meeting another season's worth of friends
Becoming a Coastguard Search & Rescue Officer

Bad points:

A few deaths of friends
Still spending slightly more than i earn
Not speaking to some of my oldest friends as much as i should
Haven't been diving (or skydiving) in a while

There have been a few highs, notably potentially forging a musical career.

The lows, or certainly significant low of recent times has been so utterly devastating it's not worth my time going into it.

Holidays - snowboarding, ireland..
Single for new years :D
Met some nice girls

Bad
Now know how to make my own beer!
Too much work
Single for new years.
All friends have now settled down - so I no longer have a partner in crime!

New Years resolutions
Get fit - can run 5 miles currently with running club, need to get to faster and move up a group
Look at Rock climbing again.
Get a good gf - getting a litle tired of kicking tires tbh.
Concentrate on building and maintaining the relationships I have and add some more :D

Falling...
Highs:

My family and friends are healthy.
2 cousins have just had babies and got married.
Starting to make progress with my weightlifting, breached the 500kg mark and aiming for 600kg for next year.
Started playing rugby again.
Being single.
Clearing a lot of debts.
Getting stability and into a high level in my job.
Moving into a new funky flat.
Going on holiday with some of my best friends.

Lows:

Hit a really low patch in my life and struggled to punch through it and it's cost me a lot more than I realised.
Being single.
Getting a dent in the back of the car.
Still having debts to clear.
Working too long hours.
Flatmate wanting to move in with his girlfriend.

Making 3 amazing new friends.
Career path at work being a reality.
New 32" LCD tv.

/facepalm

The guy is a well known troll. I'd be supprised if he has done any of the stuff he has posted.

Quick small list:

Good

Leaving my old job (sucked due to management)
Having friends at my old job also leave!
Getting a new better paid awesome job
Family and Friends in good health
Passing motorbike license
Getting a motorbike
Got a newer car (upgrade, nothing special)
GF still puts up with me :D
Quit Warcraft!!
Going great on saving for a house deposit!
GTA4 released on PC

Bad

Paying more tax
Haven't been keeping up with good friends as much as I should have :(
Been more responsible and grown up ;)
Still stuck at home with 'rents
Getting older
No holiday "away" due to saving etc. (Can't have it all).
GTA4 runs like a **** on my machine :(

In all honesty I can't think of many bad things to happen this year. It's been an awesome year for me and most of my family.

My New Years resolutions are to see my mates more and to start working on a new qualification (MCSE, etc).
