Hi all, just wondered if there is any way to tell the stepping of a cpu by the advert. The reason for this is i have heard that it is better to get a eo stepping? and if some one can tell me the difference between the steppings that would be great.

Bye,

Can you tell which stepping it is from the part numbers?

1. BXC80569Q9550

2. BX80569Q9550

Both C1 and E0 Core Stepping use the same Box Order Codes....

however , if you was to buy OEM 'E0' Q9550 chip (no box and heatsink) ,
then the Code is: AT80569PJ073N ...

and if you was to buy OEM 'C1' Q9550 chip (no box and heatsink) ,
then the Code is: EU80569PJ073N ...

:)
