Hi,

I took a stroll around the Hope Valley on Friday and took a few shots. C+C more than welcome!

Pic 4 is my favourite although could do with a little more saturation of colour in my opinion. Lovely detail of the cross in pic 6. Pic 7 leads into the photograph nicely although its a shame the sky is blown in that one. Not too keen on Pic 8 though. The others I dont really have an opinion on. Nice set of images again though.

Yeah, I had a go at using the Grad filter in Lightroom 2 on number 7 but it didn't make much difference - I think the sky data has been lost due to the blow-out. I'm not too keen on 8 either but I do like the white-ness of the water in it!

I've never even heard of this place before, I think I need to take a trip up there one day :).

How did you manage to not completely blow out 3), multiple exposures or luck of the draw? :D.

Not sure to be honest, luck I guess! It was 1/60 sec at f11, no filters. I've had a play with the levels and contrast to get it looking ok but it's only minor adjustments. The shot looks better in sepia than it does in true colour which is why I went for that with the final image.
