Replacement cord for my Sennheiser cans

Hi,
Got a pair of HD590s and the cable's going. Replaced it with the cable from my girlfriend's HD270 and it works great, so I know that's what's wrong. So, well, now I need a spare. Sennheiser sell it themselves, but I'm guessing they're gonna charge a bundle for it, so I'd like to know if I can buy them from anywhere else. One end's a standard headphone jack obviously (15mm in length), the end that goes into the cans is slightly smaller (10mm, about the same size as the headphone jacks some mobile phone headphones use).

I already tried a big e-tailer specialising in cables (whom I can't name cause they're a competitor), and they didn't have anything suitable. An entire hour spent googling for it only produced one suitable cable from a uk etailer, and it was only 1m long, which isn't nearly enough. Any ideas on who else I should try? Feel free to email me if you can't post a particular shop's name here!
Thanks!

It was a good few years ago now, but I remember having to order some cables for my dads HD600's and after I contacted Sennheiser direct they told me to try Custom Cable on tel: 0208 942 9124.

Not sure if they still do them, but dads are still going great after all that time ;)

I bought a genuine Sennheiser cable for a HD650 for all of £20 recently, so chances are that an original won't be quite as bad you might have thought.

Thanks for the advice all, I emailed Sennheiser, if they don't get back to me or if their prices are unreasonable I'll just buy that 1m-long 2.5-to-3.5mm cable and get an extender. Hope it doesn't mess up the audio quality too much.

Please keep me updated on this, the cable on my HD590's gave up this weekend after my my two year old walked away from my laptop whilst wearing them. I was out of the room i hasten to add, mrs wasn't though.
