I have one, it runs cool and quiet as advertised, although seek noise seems to be a little higher than a WD GP (in the bottom chamber of a P182).

Average sequential reads according to HDTune are around 85MB/sec (max 105MB/sec), not much less than my two 7200rpm F1s which average around 95MB/sec (max 114-119MB/sec), and pretty much in line with benchmarks published elsewhere. For some reason though, access times are disastrous on my sample at >40ms - I haven't seen this reported anywhere else, so either it's a dodgy drive (it passes all SMART and ESTool tests) or there's some weird sort of firmware/controller/driver/software issue that I'm not aware of.

I'm not too bothered about the performance aspect, as it's only used for video storage and access times are fairly unimportant, but I've had some bad experiences with Samsung drives lately so I'll be keeping a close eye on it. :)
