Samsung SM2494HM

Hi, I was just about to order this monitor when the price just went up from£261.99 inc VAT to £276.80> :confused:

Anyways, my son has the similar SM2493HM model and it looks really good, I myself have SM226BW.
I noticed that the 2493Hm has a resolution of 1920x1200 and the 2494HM is 1920x1080. I'm going to mainly use this for gaming and for the Xbox 360.
Should i stick to my 22inch sammy or upgrade to 24? is it worth it? And if i do which resolution is better, 1920x1200 or 1920x1080?

I guess all this wouldn't have mattered if the price had stayed the same, my order wouuld have been through and all by now

, but since it didn't I might as well as a few questions.

It's gone back down to original price.

Did you end up ordering the SM2494HM? Just wondering how your finding it cos' i'm interested in this one too?

I had the 2494HM before it blew up on my face

But it was a great monitor, especially for my PS3. It displayed 1080p perfectly, no scaling issues or anything like that.

For exclusive PC use I'd recommend 1200 but if you want to use it in conjunction with your console 2494HM is a good monitor for the price. It also had a built-in speaker, albeit weak, through HDMI.

thanks for that. yeh, i'll be connecting it to ps3 too. Are there any other 24" monitors with HDMI . I'm after good pic quality with excellent contrast and blacks but budget wont stretch to an ips panel?
