Hi all, apologies for the lame and uninteresting question...

I bought a long sleeve base layer the other day (one of those nylon/lycra/spandex ones). One slight problem is that when I'm cycling they ride up a little up my forearms. I was thinking of cutting a little slit near the wrist of the sleeve which I could put my thumb in to keep it in place.

I would just hack at it with scissors but I know this would just end up tearing and making a massive hole which would not be good. Just wondering if there's some kind of 're-enforcement' stitching I could put round the hole to stop it from tearing open?

Thanks for any help.

So, if I'm not mistaken... you're asking if someone knows how to stitch up your hole, to stop it from tearing whilst you're riding?

... Gay.

Do you have access to a sewing machine?

If you do you could do something like you would with a buttonhole just on a larger scale or just cut and hem the inside of the hole then do some reinforcing stitching.
