I've got a system with an AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.20GHz on stock, recently it's been soaring to high temperatures and crashing a few times, i've blown the dust away and now it's ok but i'd like to have the cpu cool all the time, whats the best fan i could go for. I only have around £40 to spend on one.

Thanks.

what case have you got though because its quite a big cooler. yea mate there the right ones, just swap the fan. also presuming youll need TIM? get either artic silver 5 or mx-3 with ur spare tenner from the fenrir

although once uve spent 30 on the cooler and bought 2 apaches you may aswell of got the corsair H50

i can vouch for the H50 it really is a doddle to fit, and comes with really good TIM already applied so you dont have to worry about putting too much or too little on. watch this video to see how easy is it to fit

although as Mr Krugga says that cooler is within your budget and if you arnt going to overclock then the h50 probably isnt nessacery

This cooler has about the same performance as H50, overclocking here isn't an issue.
